Safeguarding

Safeguarding and child protection is crucial in everything we do. This includes, as outlined by UK legislation, protecting children from maltreatment, preventing impairment of children's health and development, and ensuring that children are being cared for safely and effectively.

All staff are trained in safeguarding policy and procedures, particularly in situations where welfare and safety are at risk. All staff are DBS checked and have attended child protection training.

Procedures are in place to support children who need to be administered medicine throughout the day, as well as children who fall unwell. Allergens are noted to ensure no cross-contamination in food, and no contact with them. Hygiene is emphasised, with children washing their hands regularly and fresh drinking water being available throughout the day.
